Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Information Technology department located at our Ridgefield, CT facility working closely with the Patent Group. As an Intern, you will work with employees from various departments’ especially experienced Patent attorneys and IT professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
The primary focus of the summer internship will be to support, develop and promote a patent tool to promote collaboration among BI functions (e.g., IT, IP, R&D, Medicine) during the drug discovery and development lifecycles. The intern will work on a project overseen by experienced Patent attorneys and IT professionals. The intern is also will gain cross-functional exposure through collaboration with various departments at BI. They will have the opportunity to meet and interact with seasoned professionals with varying backgrounds and expertise as well as gain exposure to Boehringer Ingelheim’ s products, businesses, and culture.
Must be an Graduate, or Professional Student in goodacademic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a relatedmajor and/or other related coursework.
Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter)must be at least 3.200 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).
Major must be related to the field of internship.
Desired Experience, Skills andAbilities:
MBA/Masters candidate with experience/knowledge in IntellectualProperty, Patents
Working knowledge of text analytics, natural languageprocessing and data visualization software such as Python,Tableau,R,etc
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
Must be 18 years of age or older
