Job Description and Responsibilities:

The Senior Associate Materials Planner position will coordinate with the development engineering, procurement, materials and warehousing groups to ensure materials flow per approved metrics and get delivered to warehouses in order for validation material planners to kit and pull hardware in support of engines building at all sites.

Travel: The incumbent may be required to participate on teams and back-fill other planners during high demand periods.

All of our validation material planners are expected to support, train, and resolve issues with less experienced planners or new employees.

Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage hardware and kit pulls (SAP) from the warehouse Coordinate the delivery of hardware shortages with Materials, Engineering, and Procurement

  • Verify that required hardware quantities were delivered to assembly / test Ensure the SAP ZDSR (development shortage list) is up to date and accurate

  • Maintain Bill of Material accuracy in SAP Provide build / Kit Consolidation Area support & coordinate release of hardware from the Kit consolidation area to the assemble floor

  • Build relationships with customers through exceptional support Support daily shortage calls and validation calls with Test Engineers to status material shortages

  • Expedite critical items when requested by procurement, the IPT or management.

  • Attend IPT / CIPT / Industrial meetings as required to support your teams / customers

  • Continually communicate requirements and status to operations and program management

  • Manage multiple tasks / assignments as required.

  • Share lessons learned with co-workers and other SAP users.

  • Assist with shipping and logistics as requested.

  • Create, review, and improve standard work ensuring alignment with the project engineering manual.

  • Lead / participate on continuous improvement teams / efforts which support continual improvement.

  • Train newer material analysts on unique or difficult processes.

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree

  • 2 years of MRP controller and/or SAP experience

  • US citizenship is required due to government program requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills

  • SAP knowledge

  • Teamwork skills

  • Multitasking skills.
